Into The Woods
book by James Lapine, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
September 15 – October 15
2pm matinees on Sundays September 25, October 2 and 9

An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Riding Hood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? They're all among the cockeyed characters in this fractured fairy tale. When a Baker and his Wife learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Rapunzel and others. What begins as a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

The Mousetrap
by Agatha Christie
November 17 – December 10
2pm matinees on Sundays November 27, December 4

The author comes forth with another hit about a group of strangers stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. The suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. Another famous Agatha Christie switch finish! Chalk up another superb intrigue for the foremost mystery writer of her time.

Laughter on the 23rd Floor
by Neil Simon
January 26 – February 18
2pm matinees on Sundays February 5 and 12

Inspired by the playwright's youthful experience as a staff writer on Sid Caesar's Your Show of Shows, with all the attendant comic drama as the harried writing staff frantically scrambles to top each other with gags while competing for the attention of star madman "Max Prince". "The funniest comedy on Broadway in years and likely to remain the funniest comedy on Broadway for years."-Variety

Much Ado About Nothing
by William Shakespeare
March 29 – April 21
2pm matinees on Sundays April 8 and 15

One of Shakespeare’s more popular comedies follows two stories of romantic love, each with their own quite different journey to a happy ending. Lovers Hero and Claudio are kept apart by the treachery of others, while Beatrice and Benedick are kept apart by their own pride. Thanks to their friends and enemies, the lovers eventually find each other. For audience members of all ages.

Avenue Q
book by Jeff Whitty, music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx
May 24 – June 23
2pm matinees on Sundays June 3, 10 and 17

Winner of the Tony “Triple Crown” for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut (need we say more?), and other colorful types who help Princeton finally discover his purpose in life!

The Red Velvet Cake War
by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten
July 26 – August 18
2pm matinees on Sundays August 5 and 12

In this riotously funny Southern-fried comedy, the three Verdeen cousins — Gaynelle, Peaches and Jimmie Wyvette — could not have picked a worse time to throw their family reunion. Their outrageous antics have delighted local gossips, as their self-righteous Aunt LaMerle is quick to point out. Things spin hilariously out of control when a neighbor’s pet devours everything edible, a one-eyed suitor shows up to declare his love and a jaw-dropping high-stakeswager is made on who bakes the best red velvet cake. As this fast-paced romp barrels toward its uproarious climax, you’ll wish your own family reunions were this much fun!
