Steel

by Robert Harling
September
22 - October 15
2 pm matinee on Sunday,
October 9
NCRT is pleased to
kick off our season with this
skillfully created, lovingly
evoked picture of eccentricity
in the small-town South. The
action is set in Truvy's beauty
salon in Louisiana, where all
the ladies who are "anybody" come
to have their hair done. The
gossipy women serve up a story
that is alternately hilarious
and touching - and in the end,
deeply revealing of the strength
and purposefulness that underlies
the antic banter of its characters. "...suffused
with humor and tinged with
tragedy." - N.Y. Post.

The Princess and the Pea. The

swims the moat to enter the castle.
Will she be able to pass the
selfish Queen's test of a true
princess? Come see this charming
musical to find out! Warning:
a happy ending is very likely!

Kiss
of the Spider Woman
by Manual Puig
March 30 - April 22
2 pm matinee on Sunday, April 9
Manuel Puig has written a
sharply provocative tale of love,
victimization, and fantasy, and of
the friendship that develops between
two strikingly different men imprisoned
together in a Latin American jail.
Riveting drama at its best. This
play inspired the popular musical
version of this story.

This fabulous musical
hit of 1997 takes place in razzle-dazzle
roaring twenties Chicago, where
married chorine Roxie Hart murders
a faithless lover. Roxie and
another murderess on death row
vie for the spotlight and headlines,
hoping the publicity will catapult
them to fame, freedom and successful
stage careers. "Wildly entertaining...with
a dazzling score." - N.Y.

Broadway
Bound
by Neil Simon
August 10 - September 2
2 pm matinee on Sunday, August 27
It's the third and final
chapter of Simon's autobiographical
trilogy that follows the hilarious
saga of Eugene Morris Jerome. Eugene
and his brother Stanley are trying
to break into the world of professional
comedy writing while coping with
the breakup of their family. When
their material is broadcast on the
radio for the first time, the family
is upset, to say the least, to hear
a comedy rendition of their trials
and tribulations. "Expectedly
funny and unexpectedly moving." -
